Everybody, happy new year~! :) At Haneul(sky) park.

The day after tommorrow is New Year's Day in Lunar Calendar. People are going their home and having good time with family. But snow is falling heavily now, so home-going-cars should go slowly and carefully. I wish them have safe-home-tour. About me? I don't go countryside because my parents' house is near to mine. :)

I think it's for both Christmas and New Year's Day for the cost-saving. :P

Christmas and New Year's day are coming...!

These are present packages for whom didn't get the present for their acquaintances. They normally consist of personal care items like soap, toothpaste, or canned food. But I don't even turn my eyes on them after knowing that it is more expensive than individual items. :P ( click photo to enlarge )

The year of 2007(by the moon calendar) is the year of the pig. Pig is symbol of health, good personality, wealth, etc.... in Korea. Many of Korean media says this year is the year of the GOLDEN pig. It is known as good time for bare a baby. But as far as I know, that is wrong information and is only related to commercialism. Anyway, Golden Piggybank is very cute(expensive!). :)

In Korea, magpie(KA-CHI, 까치) means luck. Especially, New Year's eve is known as 까치's new year's day. So, 까치's new year's day is the day before human's. Actually Korean's new year's day is calculated by moon calendar, not by sun calendar(I know chinese does too). So, this year's new year's day is February 18th. We call this day 설날 SUL-NAL.
